End of Academic Year

By 19th July 2022 No Comments

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to wish everyone a restful break and lets hope the heat relaxes a little and we can make the most of the summer.

Its a times like this its very tempting for young people to jump in the rivers and sea to cool down and we would like to remind everyone of the dangers of open water swimming.

  • Always swim with others
  • Dont get out of your depth
  • Dont swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The hot dry weather has also increased the risk of fire and we would ask everyone to be very vigilant of potential fire risks eg bbq’s, burning garden waste or throwing cigarettes away without placing them in the bin.

The railways also always ask us a this time to remind parents of the danger to young people playing on the railway lines, be that from being hit by a train or electrocuted.

There are a lot of risks during the holidays so keep your children occupied by involving them in youth activities in this area, knowing where they are and what their plans are.

I look forward to seeing everyone safe and sound and back at school on Thursday 1st Sept at the slightly later start time of 10am.

Have a great summer holiday

Andrew
