Good day,
We have now completed our first full year as part of the Coastal Collaborative Trust.
One of the Trusts key objectives for the school was to ensure that the buildings were of a standard that reflects their goal of ensuring quality provision for students.
Over the summer holidays there has been substantial works undertaken to improve the school.
- All of the doors in the school have been replaced with high quality fire doors.
- New fire alarm systems have been installed in both buildings.
- The roof of the New Building has been replaced and the Old Building roof work has begun, so there will be scaffolding around the site.
- The school kitchen has been completely replaced with state of the art convection ovens giving our chef more options on the school menu.
- Potholes and broken tarmac have been repaired making the surfaces safer.
- Insulation and replacement windows have been installed to improve the comfort level of the buildings.
The costs for this have been met fully by the Trust.
A second objective was to have a permanent Headteacher in the school which is why I will be at Chadwick full time from 1 Sep 26 and will no longer manage McKee College, splitting my time between two schools. I look forward to spending more time supporting staff and students to further develop and improve the school.
Kind regards
Andrew Murray, Headteacher
